I'll be up in Portland again on Friday to see my daughter perform at the University of Portland. Last time I was up there I seem to remember that it was a pretty nice area driving in, and noticed several people on bikes (duh...PDX...bikes...I shouldn't even say it...)

Anyway, wondering if anyone has a favorite little 'loop' or route, say 15-20 miles worth, that I could cruise around on my bike up in the area earlier in the day, before the performance. I'd rather not go gangbusters on a bunch of hills (that may count me out, right?) since I need to freshen up for the performance in the afternoon, and if it was fairly flat, I might even just toss my single speed in. Otherwise, I'd take more gears.

I know I could just get on my bike and start riding, but if anyone has any recommendations, I'm open.

Thanks.
Paul

If you go north and you cross on the St. Johns bridge you can bike out to Sauvie Island and loop around there, all flat.
If you go south you can follow the river and go all the way to Sellwood, mostly on bike path or bike lane.
That should be plenty.
Enjoy.

I would ride north to St Johns bridge then east ,
turn south immediately off the bridge and ride south on
Willamette / Then south on Greeley to the Steel Bridge
continue south on the Eastbank Esplande to Sellwood and
Cross the rive on Tacoma turn North and ride 0on the West side of the
River back to downtown PDX.
If you are early enough to watch the sun rise on the St johns Bridge,
that is pretty cool.

Hey, thanks for the tips! Looks like I've got some great options for Friday, and a nice day dialed in on the weather scanner!

Thanks again!
