Fifty Plus (50+) - Lurker is official today

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have enjoyed reading about all you old couts and your bikes for a while now.
Today I'm one of the couts!
I can officially chime in now but I'm really more of a reader.(lurker);)
Congrats (I think). Welcome aboard!

Happy Birthday and welcome.
Thanks for all the welcomes.
I just got back from my after work ride. It's a beautiful day in north east Ohio!
I was riding my 50th birthday present from my wife, a new Trek F/S EX8 mountain bike.
Now if I could only find a mountain.

Welcome to the old coots forum. Actually the nicest, friendliest forum on the Board. Lots of great people here - really a wonderful group. Happy Birthday and enjoy your day.

Another mountain biker to help hold the walls against the horde of roadies here. And, its a very nice one too. Your wife clearly has good taste.
Have you thought about using clipless pedals yet....................................:)

Welcome & Happy Birthday, the tradition here is to ride your age on your birthday. Don't let us down.
I like water and have a white head (when the "just for men" wears off)
I've used clipless on my road bikes but use "power straps" and platforms on my mountain bikes.
I like to be able to put my foot down quickly if and when I have to.
I guess I must be 9 today if I rode my age!
I don't think it would be a good idea to head back out now.(three glasses of wine and it's getting dark)
Another NE Ohioan, great. Welcome and :bday:.
There's a lot of Cleveland area stuff being posted on the "I Remember When..." thread, in case you haven't noticed.
Welcome... may your days be happy and your nights be full of sleep...so your days can be happy.
