I wish someone would find my Diamondback MTB! It's in a ravine somewhere out in Thurston County :) .

There's got to be a story to this.
I've lost a bike in the lake before.. almost two. Both instances involved a bike jump at the end of a dock, with some life jackest poorly strapped to the frame.
EDIT: The second time was actually off the boardwalk near Fairhaven.

Strapped on floaties dont work. Take some inner tubed and tangle them up in the spokes, front and back. Blow up the tubes and they wont come out.

There's got to be a story to this.
Out innocently riding on firetrails one day. I decided to be venturesome and head for some singletrack. Turned out that the trail disappeared after about a mile. Normally this would not be a problem! I decided that I saw what looked like a trail about half a mile across the valley. It turned out that there were HUGE (and I mean 30 feet deep and 5 feet across) tank traps between me and the trail. After managing to get the bike up and down the first tank trap, I decided that there had to be a better way out. I headed out what looked like a nice gentle grade slope. Did I mention that this day was the heaviest one day total rainfall for the year that year? After slipping and sliding about four miles with the bike, I came to a very steep ravine. Remember, it's WET, and I could barely see in front of me.
At some point crawling along the ravine (on foot), I wound up losing my grip on the Diamondback. It hurtled down the ravine, never to be seen by me again :( .
If anyone ever finds it, please let me know :) .
