I love when I can get a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, but we don't have Chick-Fil-A up in the Chicago area, so they are a rare treat.
A couple days ago I tried McDonald's new Southern-Styled Chicken sandwich and it's almost a dead ringer for a regular Chick-Fil-A. Moist chicken with a couple of pickles on a plain bun. That was it. Dios mio, man. It completely destroys any other chicken sandwich on the McDonald's lineup.
Plus, I got it on a Sunday, which nobody wanting a Chick-Fil-A is going to get!
Yum. Thank you Ronald for stealing this sandwich and presenting it to the masses.

I don't have a tv.Psst, this is the "fast food" thread, not the "have you seen that show" thread.

Spurlock can bite me. Everybody and their pet chihuahua knows McD's is awful for them, even if they don't eat it for 30 straight days. Anyone who subjects themselves to such idiocy deserves to get ill and fat.
I'm 6'1" and 165#. I eat fast food quite often, but unlike Spurlock don't make a spectacle of myself when doing so.
I still love McDonald's every once in a while. And Arby's. And BK. And Wendy's. And Mexican food with tons of terrible ingredients. Super size that.
Now.... back to the wonderful McD's Southern-Styled Chick-Fil-A ripoff Chicken Sandwich....

Is that the one with the dill pickles on it? If so, I've had it and yes it was pretty good.

We have one McD's in our town, no Arby's, no BK, no Wendy's...but plenty of great Mexican restaurants, some imports from CA where real Mexican food comes from. :D
McD's gets no business from me...and it's 200 yards from the shop. Same for the KFC/Taco Hell just 100 yards away.
There was a movie about a guy without a tv and no short term memory? Was it good?

You really know how to stick it to the man, that's for certain. I mean, like, metaphorically speaking with regards to the whole not eating at conglomocorp fast food joints.
;)
Dang. Now I want some Taco Bell. Who's up for a Border Run?
Not sure, but I know that neither Krispistofferson or I have it.
And Cyclowe, you sir are correct about the goodnessness of the MickeyD chicken sammich. It will never replace the Big Mac on my list of favorite things to eat at McDonalds, but it is goodly to eat.

Meh, it's less about sticking it to the man than just not liking crappy food. ;)
McDonalds is bad for you, but their fries are generally excellent tasting.
I too would rather go sit at a tacqueria or a diner, etc. than sit in some fast food joint, but sometimes that is not an option.

They just built a Chik-Fil-A in about 5 miles from here. I'd sooner go there than the .6 miles to the clown house. I've only had something from the new C-F-A once, but man was it good!
Not being open on Sunday... That's another reason for me to support them :) Won't say more since this isn't P&R

I noticed McD's also has a breakfast Chicken sandwich... Is that a ripoff too? Does it come with pickles too?

Breakfast Chicken sandwich, ugh.
My fridge is just over there in the kitchen. Hmm.. Let's see, drive car to fast food 6 miles + sandwich + drive back 6 miles + burn the sandwich off = too much cash and headache from traffic.
OK, now, walk across the room + make a sandwich + burn it off = way cheap and such a beautiful shine.
I think I'll stick with the simple math rather than the long math.
:D
Truth of it is, I really can't stand hamburgers. Never ever have, even as a kid.
hey Cy didnt you mention being sick? maybe you should check that diet again :).
it could be worse THE SPECS (http://app.mcdonalds.com/bagamcmeal?process=item&itemID=5969&details=false&imageSize=small)
are you retaining water? 1090 mg of sodium is a lot for one samich.

I was already ill the day before I ate the sandwich. And from the virus I had, I wasn't retaining anything, if you catch my drift.
And, no, I won't click that link. The sandwich was about all I ate on Sunday, thus a bright spot in my weekend food intake, so however many calories it may have had is little concern to me.
I look forward to the next time I get to have this sandwich. Calories and sodium be damned!

i had that mcd chicken thing. it was the juiciest piece of meat i have ever consumed. it was as if they had injected it to 100 psi with some kind of chicken juice/grease. it was pretty good. and i am not exaggerating, twice when i ate it squirted like a grapefruit. it was kinda disturbing but tasty.
i think they pressure cook it and squeeze some sort of light grease into it or something. i dunno man, its weird.

They are building a Chick-Fil-A about a quarter mile from my house. :)
If you are lucky, it will have a TV.
