Ever have those days you just want to add more or try a new path? Yesterday was that day for me!

I have a pretty normal way I go home ( 2 ways I always do) and I decided I didn't want to do either of those. So when I left for my return trip I decieded to try a trail I have always wondered about where it goes. So I went down to the Bike path (Pikes Peak Greenway for those in Colorado Springs) and took it up to the Cottenwood creek trail (which if anyone can help me there.... apparntly there is a 1 mile stretch of it missing completely??????) I took that path up to Homestead trail. HOmestead to N.Carefree, to my house. In the end I added an extra 12 miles to the return trip. making my normal 9 miles ride home 21 miles. It was great and I learned a few new paths I didn't know about!

I had a blast, I see this bevomeing a normal way home before too long!

I envy you folks that have a reasonable commute. I would love to have that to look forward to each day. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I am a student and live directly across the street from school--which is where I work as well. The wife works 35miles away and for some reason doesn't consider that a commutable distance. WIMP!!!
Enjoy your new route and future exploration

Very nice. I believe Colorado Springs has quite a bit of elevation as well (7,000'?).

Where I live is about 6300 - 6400 I believe. It's a great elevation!!
