Does this sport exist in Australia? have been seaching the net for the last two days but haven't really been able to find any info on it.

i think there are a few mountain bike clubs around that run cyclocross races. try contacting your local ones. hope that helps.
there's a lot of interest from the single speed/fixed riders in Melbourne. i expect there will be something up and running here in the not-too-distant future.
