Anyone doing this? I am looking to do my first century this year, and it looks like this would be a good start.
I will be doing the century this year. I did the metric last year, although I did 84mi due to getting lost in Valley Forge Park and then again in Montgomery County :). It was a lot of fun- very well supported, and the pizza at the end is great! BTW, the century route was touted as being very hilly, which was the only reason I didn't do it (it would have been my first). As it turns out, the "extended metric" route we fashioned was pretty darn hilly anyway.
I volunteered at the Bike Philly Ride last year and then joined in after everyone had passed my point. It was a fun little ride :)

I did too- it was fun volunteering and riding (makes for a good recovery ride after the SSC). Definitely will do both again this year!

I didn't do the SSC last year but am seriously considering it this year. Heard it was a lot of fun from some of the other Bike Philly volunteers.

You should definitely do it- the routes are all good, and the support is excellent. It's one of those rides where it's not impossible to gain weight :thumb:

Hmmmm, in that case I might just have to sign up... :D
I'll be there again. It was a good ride last year.
