Price drop - $950 - 2006 Kona JTS with approximately 300 miles ridden. I'm selling the bike because it is a little small for me (I'm 6'5" tall) and I have just bought a new ride that fits me perfectly.
A few changes I have made to the stock bike:
- Cassette - swapped from Shimano Deore 12-25 to SRAM 11-34
- Rear derailleur - swapped out from 105 to long-cage Deore to accomodate larger cassette
- Chainrings - the original crankset fell apart and was replaced under warranty. The replacement has a 36/50T set.
- Stem - swapped the Easton EA30 for a Ritchey with an adjustable angle.
- Saddle - I sold the WTB saddle with another bike. I will be happy to include one of two saddles I have: a Serfas gel saddle, or a barely-used Velo Plush saddle.
- Pedals - I sold the Shimano PD-M505 pedals and replaced them with Wellgo LU-926 pedals; basically nice platform pedals with toeclips instead of clipless.
- I swapped the knobby tires with Michelin Trans-World City tires in 700x35c
- I have installed a Trek cycle computer that I will leave on the bike.
- I have also installed a "Space Grip" that gives more room on the handlebar for a headlight or whatever else you may wish to clamp on to the "dashboard"
The bike is located in Washington, DC. I would prefer to do an in-person pickup, but I will be happy to have the bike professionally packed at a local bike shop and shipped - the buyer will only pay the actual cost of the packing (I've been quoted $60 by a local shop) and shipping (via the FedEx around the corner from the aforementioned local shop). If there are any other questions that I haven't covered, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
Ed
