Be sure to take it for a test ride or 2 before buying....you know fit is the most important part.

Go for a classic steel girlfriend. The ride is much better, she'll last longer and won't crack under pressure.

I thought it was something completely different when I read the thread title.

I was thinking you screwed up your can are you were gonna get a Mustang like in that "Knight Rider" or whatever movie.

I seriously thought that.

Avoid one with a sloppy bottom bracket.

I'm partial to a firm seat with anatomical contours.

Oh, and if she is a good one...don't forget to chain her up well. And for God's sakes, put some leather on her to make the ride a bit more enjoyable.

Just keep your ball bearings in good shape.

... and best to clean up thoroughly after a messy ride.

I think the smart move would be to go on a worldwide test-driving spree. It could be a new way of life for you, that we would all envy.

Watch out for upgrades like oversized tubes. They just don't have the same feel as OEM spec.
