Is there anyway to stiffen up a hedshock on a cannondale f400? As soon as weight is put on it, it bottoms out. Or does this sound like it has a commpression leak. Any thaughts are appreciated.

Then take it off your bike and throw it away. Sorry, but I really hate those (hedshock) things! :eek:

well as much as i enjoy being talked to like a idiot, that is why i asked for somebody who knew something about them. There is nowhere to put air in them, i believe they are elastomer not air, i was just wondering if anybody had ever taking one apart to put stiffer ones in? or if that is even possible.

Nope, they are air filled. You have to remove the front tire to access the valve. It's where the two sides of the fork meet pointing down toward the ground.

My headshok was coil sprung. I had them add a stiffer spring to it and it worked better. It still sucked b/c it was only 60mm, but hey...it helped.

Just to clarify.

You wanted any thoughts (at least I think thats what your looking for since you said thaughts.
You asked, you never really asked for anyone knowledgeable.
And yes they do apparently take air.
It only sounds idiotic after you admit thats how you enjoy being talked to.

ive been riding on one for 4 years, raced on it for 2 seasons, and have no complaints at all. I rarely hear complaints about them here. The only complaints are from people who have never actually rode a bike with one.
