Foo - the best surprise ever

So I was planning to take my wife as a surprise for her bday for a week to a Yucatan hideaway hotel tallked secretely to her boss so she could get days off, everything planned, everything paid for when.... she announces her mom decided to fly over to spend a month with us and celebrate her b day with us... Yucatan already paid vacation plan down the drain... Mother in law arrived last Sunday and will be staying for a month and 3 days... :eek:

Birthday suprises are a bad idea in general. It's funny how the person having the birthday often has their own idea of what they would like to do.

yah! no sh**t first and last time!!!! I was also going to give her a brand new bike (liberty breezer)... and thanks God a friend told me that she had mentioned that would be the worst gift to give ever that she did not want a new bike now!!! At least some money saved....

Exactly. Tell your wife that you and her are celebrating her actual birthday. Her and mom are celebrating Eastern Orthodox birthday (that's 12 days later btw). She gets 2 birthdays this year (but only one counts).
