Hi. I picked a 1996 Schwinn Super Stock 2 out of the trash and was wondering if it is worth fixing and putting maybe about $100 into to make it ridiable? Or am I better off puuting the money towards a new bike?It is Chrome and in good shape. It needs: seat and post, brake pads and cables, chain, tires and a new rear rim.

If you can get it rideable with $100, then I recommend doing so then maybe selling it to an old school bmx collector/enthusiast and using that money towards a new bike.
Just make sure you replace it with oringinal parts if you are planning to sell it to a collector.
that is a sweet bike in my opinion, i love the superstocks, especially in the orange.lots of people would buy it as is, including me.
