I am in the UK.

Perhaps foolishly offered my current Downtube to my Dad, couple years old, (the bike, not my dad) without realizing that it had become harder to buy downtubes here in the meantime. Thought I would be able to get a mini, but looks like it will be tough.

So, buying in Europe as a DT fan, what should I look for ? Or has anyone had experience of buying in the US and carrying back to the UK (I visit US a couple of times a year).

thx.

I sure I read that http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=35882 is distributing Downtubes in the UK and I have seen them on the UK ebay but don't think I have seen the mini.

With the exchange rate being so much in your favor right now (2 to 1?), why not fly to NYC for the weekend. See the sights and pick up a Downtube/case on your way out. The Downtube website lists a Brooklyn based dealer so I would call them to see what they have in stock...
