My dad's got one of those from 'nam. Maybe one day i'll ask him about turning it into a marksman rifle. :)

The M-14 is a fairly good marksman rifle. You don't get the accuracy of a bolt action, but it's accurate enough for many snipers to use them. You have to be a fairly big guy to accurately shoot because of the 7.62 delivers a substantial kick. A lot more than the 5.56. But with semi-auto, it's very controllable and makes quite a good sniper rifle.

Poor kid. I did that to a kid once...well, he did it to himself. I offered to use the 12ga, but he had to be the bigshot.....knocked him off his feet about a yard backwards. Then we switched guns and he used the 28ga.
