Hey all!
I'm looking at getting an older mountain bike for commuting. I ultimately will run slicks on it because I just won't do much trail riding, but I've found in my older age (42 lol!) that I like the "feel" of the mountain bike frame, versus my old road racer style.
Anyhow, here is a description of the bike that I'm looking at:
custom built rocky mountain blizzard frame.. (older frame circa late 90's) medium size
leader lawill3 front shocks! mavic gold rims. lx xt deraillers.raceface crank.. put wayyyyy more than 300 into it in the last few years im moving and i cant take it with me..
$250 firm
The guy will trade me the bike for my old guitar amp, which isn't worth much to me anymore.
It looks decent enough. I can't afford to go new on the bike. Even the low-end junk stuff at the LBS starts at over $400! I'm not sure about the funky front fork. Is there any that I should be weary of or that's easy to check when I go to look at this?
Thanks!
