after many months of researching and try outs, I had narrowed down my search to the Bianchi EROS (steel) or the GIRO (AL), budget wise no more than $ 1,100
I had been inclining towards the EROS because of the steel ride and the less money....
But then, on Ebay came up an opportunity I just couldn't let slip by: I got me the GIRO 2003, electric blue, new, never ridden, except for test ride on the parking lot - for $ 870.00 !!! plus 50.00 shipping.
I took it!!!
Ebay Item # 3642255949
They're shipping ii today from IL to New Jersey.
Can't wait!!!

you won't get my blessing if you don't post a pic, when it arrives. :) just kidding.
Very cool, I have a Bianchi myself. I considered the Giro also, but in the end I got the Repart Corso SL Lite frame with Centaur. Have fun!

couple months before I had gotten to test ride at my local LBS, was impressed by the stealthy ride, and it rode like on rails, like a dream, although I felt I was riding a paper clip. Mind you I wasn't much into Al frames but steel, had considered the Eros big time, but at that price I said what a heck!
Sometimes you just gotta say "what a F***k!" y'know...
This is my first road bike, I guess it was meant to be AL frame after all, hey gotta try it once y' know......

Thanks guys! it's coming tomorrow via UPS.
It'll come disassembled, what do you suggest:
- Put it together myself, I'm kind of nervous 'cause don't think I have the right tools for the job.
- or better take it to a near bike shop to do it???
