Good wireless computer

Right now I am using a Cateye Strada wireless computer. I didn't want anything fancy, just something that would give me average, maximum, time, odo, total miles. This one is okay but the maximum speed is constantly wrong or just about. This last ride it reads 65.9 maximum (I wish). Does anyone know of a good wireless that won't give you wrong readings?

I have come to the conclusion that my top speed is going to be anywhere between 55 km/h (possibly accurate) and 99.9 km/h (well, not really) with my wireless computer. There's too much interference out there from cars, radios, public transport, and perhaps even other peoples wireless computers. The only thing I can say in its favor, is that it does not seem to skew the average speed, which I do watch.

I have a very sleek looking VDO. I bought it because they said it had less interference than the Cateye I had before.

It doesn't.

On the road bike I returned to the Strada wired computer. No more interference...........more cash.

Have used the Cteye Wireless in various forms for many years now. Only problem I have is flat batteries and if a problem does occur- Sensor out of line- magnet not right and even a magnet that lost its magnetism- it can take a bit of sorting to find the offending item. For that reason I now have a Garmin Edge 305. Just hope it remains trouble free.

I have a VDO 15+ and if I rub the back of it with my cell phone I can top out at 63 mph. it's probably the problem you have as well.:o

My Sigma wireless 1606 seems very solid. It "pairs" the head and transmitter and I've never noted interference.

The transmitte mount didn't love my areo fork at first, but I've worked it out. I really like the display and feature set.

I have a VDO C3 with cadence and I have not had any problems with it. It is very accurate. I will display speed on it along with cadence while I have my Forerunner GPS also displaying speed, avg speed and distance. At the end of a long ride teh two agree almost prefectly on AVG speed and distance and during the ride the only time there is a difference in speed is when the GPS hasn't caught up to the VDO. I also carry my cell phone with no problems. I would check the batteries and see if they are weak causing the xmit signal to be weak.

I use a CICLO 403 wireless. The only time it gives grief is when the battery starts to flag.

Switched a couple of months ago from a wired Cateye to a wireless VDO C2DS. Needed digital for long distance from fork to bars on a recumbent. Works very nicely.

I use a CICLO 403 wireless. The only time it gives grief is when the battery starts to flag.

I tried the Ciclo MC434 and I can say without a problem it is the biggest load of crap and the biggest waste of cycling $ ever.

I really like the Balckburn wireless line. Since switching, no issues.

Cateye Micro. Bomb proof. My wife has used and abused hers for years. She never removes it from her bike. Even when it is on the back of the car, in the rain. Never any interference and pretty acurate.
After several other brands failed on me(the Sigma really sucked), I go one too. I also have had no problems in the year and a half with it.

I have a Cateye Micro Wireless and have had not had any problems with it at all. Mine's gotten wet several times as well.

I have the VDO MC 1.0+ - I love the various altitude read-outs.
