Greetings bent riders everywhere.

Call me beep, the beep, the beepster, it doesn't matter much. Been riding a Burley Django for a lot of years. Modded the thing up to go pretty fast and fun. Burley toasted the line, I figure "time to go something different" so I bought a Bucchetta Giro 20tt. Only problem is they haven't made any yet. What the "h", it's only money. Still, since I sold the Django the other week, I'm going through the dreaded "bent withdrawals".

I need my tt bad.

Anyways, glad as heck to be a part of the deal here. Anyone in Mpls wanna ride? Feel free to drop me a line (that's Minnesota speek). I still need the tt though.

I look forward to your report on the ride quality. A lot of people say aluminum rides harsh on traditional bikes, so it should be interesting to see if the same holds true on the Giro. That's a weight savings of close to 5 lbs., right?

I test rode a Giro 20 last weekend but settled on the Cafe. New to bents myself, the longer wheelbase seemed to be more forgiving.

Anyways...

When the tt comes in, I'll be sure to let you guys (or guy) know how it rides. The Burley cruised very nice and smooth at around 18mph. I'm hoping the tt will do at least that and hopefully more as it's lighter and slightly lower.

It's a friendly crowd, they didn't even fuss about me posting for a couple of years while I still road a DF. :hug:

I'm also interested in how the Giro TT rides. I am almost ready to buy a Cafe this year. I had some foot surgery about six months ago and need a really stable ride, which the Cafe seems to offer due to it's longer wheel base. Maybe next year I'll consider a Giro.

As someone else suggested due go over to bentrideronline.com. Entirely about bents and trikes. Of course there is a forum at the Bacchetta home page also

Welcome. I have a Giro 20, but not the TT. I love it anyway. I'm a commuter riding just over 28 miles a day 5 days/week on mine, and haven't regretted the purchase for a second.

What are you going to use yours for? Commuting? Recreational riding? Touring? How about a pic?

Hey, it's great to hear from you folks.:thumb: Those Catrike's are sweeeeeet! I nearly bought a "Road" a couple years ago. Test rode it around Lake Calhoun in Mpls. The price was more than I could do at the time though.

I test rode the Giro 20 and was quite impressed. It felt alot like the Burley Django I had ridden for years. The riding position was similar and it just breezed down the trail. The tt is a little lighter and has disc brakes. I was in a bad head-on collision with a road bike last year and disc brakes would have been nice in that situation.

Anyways,

I'll check with that "Bent on line" website. I'm a pretty busy guy and on the road alot but I'll be around.

The TT is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!! I opted for the wider seat instead of the skinny brillo pad style. The bike is super lite and totally comfortable. I can pedal all day long until my legs fall off and it's as fast as my Django was.

Bushetta did done good!

Hi Beep,

Glad to hear you are liking your new 'bent. I trust you have learnt your lesson. In future when you buy your next bent, wait until you have your new one before getting rid of your old one. That way you won't suffer the terrible problem of Bent withdrawal.:D
