Hello guys,

I am currently looking for a road bike. I loved the color on 2002 trek 5500, the abyss color. But the price was kinda high for me. I am wondering, is there any other road bike with that color (or close to that color, deep blue/purple), in the price range 1k - 1.5k? or just the frame for under 500?

Go to Trek's website and inquire if they will paint one of their other frames the color you like. They used to do so and may well still be the case. Get a 5200 or 2300. Both excellent bikes. They will make you purchase through an authorized dealer, but you will probably get the color you want.

I tend not to buy bikes based on color. The Trek colors are nice this year, though.
