Oh wise BF posters, I need your advice.
Somebody in a branded company van gave me a hard time on my commute this am. Nothing too bad--kind of buzzed me, did the usual honking/gesticulating thing--but it was on the corner of Main/Pico in Santa Monica, which has got to be the bike-friendliest block in town, and I figured the moron should know better than to pull that kind of thing when the van would make it that easy to track him down. So I got into the office all psyched up for some kind of retribution.
Turns out this is the "company":

Should I call them and let them know this guy's not doing any favors for their cause? Or just drop it?

Did you get the van's number or license plate?

Call them but make sure you're calm when you do it.
Absolutely let them know, for lots of reasons. Consider it positive feedback...

I would give a call. They need to know what their drivers are up to.

Yes. Call them in a calm manner just to inform them. The company might have a training session for its drivers because they don't want to end up liable for accidents/deaths/etc. due to their employee's negligence. I sent a letter to a day camp because their bus brushed me with its sideview mirror, explaining that, on top of the liability, it would be traumatic for the children to witness a person dying and/or bleeding after being struck by the bus they were riding in.

Neither, sadly. But I can describe the guy in detail and I don't imagine they've got a huge fleet of vans.

Wow. There are some things that just shouldn't require explanation, you know?

I just noticed that you're in Culver City. Can you please have lunch at Tito's Tacos today and then post a detailed account of your lunch? :)
I haven't had them in several months and I figured maybe I could eat vicariously through you :)

Yeah. I wanted to paint a picture that would strike the reader as a most important issue. Sometimes how you word something is crucial in how they will react.
Call them and send a letter.

Report him. He represents the company, and they need to know about this kind of thing.

Thanks, all! Never did get through to a human being, but I did leave a (very calm) message, described the incident, said I was sure the driver's a very nice guy, yadda yadda reasonablenesscakes, and slipped in mention of CVC 21200. Probably will get listened to by some office lackey and then deleted, but hey. I tried.

call back, again and again, until you get a live person...
