Just curious if any Lemond Poprad owners have upgraded their forks, and if so, to what.
I have a 55cm 2005 Poprad with the aluminum fork and am considering getting a carbon one. I can't quite figure out rake and axle-to-crown stuff, so I'm hoping some people can chime in and tell me what they upgraded to, how they like it, and whether it is compatalbe with the geometry of the frame.

My 2008 poprad with carbon fork is shuddering BAD. It is in the shop right now. What have others done to address this? Is it the Avid canti's?
Hmm. That's good to know. Maybe I'll cross the Bontrager Satellite carbon fork off the list.
Not to get too far off track, but I've heard that setting the brakes with some toe-in can help fork shudder.
You could try installing a brake booster to see if that helps with the fork shudder.
I just spoke the the shop, and they adjusted several things
- longer straddle cable to help with modulation of braking power
- tightened headset
- more toe-in adjustment of pads
They said it is much much improved. I was about ready to buy a steel fork, but I'm gonna try this out for a while and see how it does...
