Fifty Plus (50+) - Forty miles tomorrow?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Maybe... just maybe.
That's what I'm planning anyway, keyword: "planning"
It could be rough go as the ride would start with a climb up my friend, Sharp Park Road.
I know I can do it by now but to start with that and still have 36 miles to go... hmmm.
And there are a couple of pretty good "testers" along the way, too and a reallygood one about halfway back home.
Sounds like a challenge to me.

You can't do it and should not even try.

No, actually, BluesDawg is right,
Do it twice, 40 miles is peanuts. How many feet of climbing are involved?

Oh, I don't know... I guess pretty easily 1200+ feet with Sharp Park Road having half of it over 2 miles.
And I hit that about 2.5 - 3 miles into the start of the ride.
The climb back has a stretch that climbs 300' over a mile
So there's that plus the various little ups and downs and long uphill pulls throughout

I think we should look to the "Road Cycling" forum for the final words of advice:
