I ordered the kilo tt frame from www.bikeisland.com and received a small box that supposedly weighs 10lbs. Inside the box are 2 tubes and a bmx freewheel cog. This is obviously a mistake, but its very difficult to resolve when an online store operates with no phone number and doesn't check his/her mail. I hope this gets resolved soon. Help anyone?

So is this worth $199?

Try this number (972) 578-0586 - Cycle Spectrum, Plano Tx. Last I heard they were running bikeisland.

Thanks for the phone number. I called and yeah he said "it's operated by the same company", but the only way to reach bikeisland is by email as he would have to do the same.

Humph, friend of mine bought some wheels from "bikeisland" user on ebay a year or so ago. We picked them up at the Plano shop. Guess they've reorganized since then with the new website and all.

I just received new headset from bikeisland. No problems...shipped fast (ordered saturday morning, just received it wed). It was $1 more expensive, but the lack of tax and free shipping offset this by a far amount. I was pleased with their service and will continue shopping with them. Hope others have a similar experience...

Sorry if this is regarded as a thread-jack but I hated to make another thread to discuss the same company.

I just helped my sister-in-law order some clipless pedals for her new bike from Bike Island.

Price- $25 shipped for a set of Wellgo SPD pedals (the newer mud-shedding SPD design) is pretty good.

Shipping- Pedals appeared to be well packaged for shipping. The speed of delivery was about average (ordered monday, recieved saturday).

I have no complaints and I would consider ordering from them again in the future.
