I just received the Wheels MFG campy conversion cassette. I thought I would give this a try 1st before going to the Jtek shiftmate. I have read that the wheels cassette works much better than the american classic conversion cassette..

It honestly looks like they are just using 9 speed ultegra cogs, the 1st 2 cogs have there own spacers and the last 3 are pinned together.. But the 5 in between look just like ultegra 9 cogs which I have quite a few of. Is it possible to just use some of my ultegra 9 cogs and use the spacers that came with the wheels cassette to work with campy 10?

How many of the smaller spacers are people running behind the last cog on standard DA or Ultegra hubs?

I don't know much about the MFG cassettes but I have used the American Classic versions.

the spacers depend entirely on the spoke dish of your rear wheel. Some flanges have enough angle to clear the Campy cassettes and really don't need spacers at all. However, others with narrow flanges have to be respoked/redished to keep the chain out of the spokes and rear derailleur cage in first gear.

I probably would not recommend mixing/matching gears between to Ultegra and MFG cassette. Some of those machined ramps and pins are positioned to initiate transfer to the next adjoining gear. I don't think mixing would allow the machined ramps to line up properly.

That cassette have the spacing of a campagnolo cassette. If the cogs look like shimano is because probably are a copy of the shimano ones, after all they must fit a shimano freewheel thngy right? I been using one for about 2 years, no complains so far.

Thanks.
