Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. So i'm thinking of migrating back to the sidewalk. The problem is that I enjoy being on the road I like not having to cross the curb at the intersections.
I just can't take the exhaust fumes anymore. It's getting really bad, im inhaling the diesel gas and I absolutely hate it.
Anyone else feel the same way at all?

Breath through your nose. I hate it as well, but it beats the sidewalk!

Ride in the middle of the road so you don't get the blast of exhaust when cars pass you?
Besides that... you could get a face mask like they do in asia. You could try finding emptier roads.
Personally, I usually ride in empty enough roads that exhaust isn't a problem. When there is a car, they pass me in a few seconds and then they are long gone. And exhaust doesn't bother me that much over all.... harden up?

There are masks you can get for road fumes and pollution. MEC sells them in the bicycling section.
Oh ... I've been behind some freaking oil burners that have left me in a cloud of oily smoke that lasted all the way down the street and I'm sure I wore it as I've cleaned some cars that have had a veil of oil splatters across the front. Ugh. Stinky, smelly POS's!!!
I try to breathe thru my mouth and not try to inhale deeply. And have been known to say a foul word or two :D and changed my route at the next street to get rid of the foul polluter stink bomb vehicle that will most likely die in a year anyway due to neglect and overuse.
Stinkpots!!!!

+1 on the masks, I use one when I'm slicing up heavy, stopped traffic, and I feel (no numbers, just feel) that it makes a difference.

I'll make sure to tell that to the bike cops the next time I see them on the sidewalk.. besides, this isn't city sidewalks....i'm talking about suburbian sidewalks..the kind that are 2 meters wide along with another 3 meters of grass that nobody ever uses.
