So, I been off a bicycle about 10 years. SInce I got my license actually.
I have decided, due to some injuries i have, that bicycling is probably the easiest form of exercise, that doesnt 'jar' my body that much, outside of swimming.
When I was a kid, I always had toy store bikes. My last one was a Huffy full suspension bike. it was a nice bike, but heavier than an Abrams tank, and the down force on the pedal - the middle shock absorber seemed to always 'steal' some of the pedal force... Anyways, that bike is beat.
So, I got the 4300 after talkin to some folks who said it was a super nice bike. I bought it to last me years, as I figured I wouldnt be buying another anytime soon, so I went with it based on friends opinions.
In my limited experience with it. It is a pretty nice bike. However the stock seat sucks for me... man my butt really hurts! So I put my big cushy seat on it that I used when I was a kid, MUCH better.
The front derailer rattles, seems this is a common problem. Ill probably end up modifying it a little to get rid of the rattle.
I got the Orange and silver one.
However the paint job, while looks good, doesnt seem to have much 'durability' the bike is about a week old, and the paint is all chipped around the front fork. I have been very easy on it, and want the bike to last me years, but the easy chipping of the paint has me a lil bit, 'worried'?
Anyways, I figure, maybe this fall/winter, Ill sand down the frame and repaint it. Maybe with Emron...
So far I am pretty happy with it, its just the paint issue... Its like the paint isnt adhereing very well the the aluminum... I dunno... Other than that, I like the bike alot.
