They should have emailed you confirmation, with your rider #.
where are you staying Ron?
ah. it was in my spam folder. #542! what!
We will probably stay at whatever crackhead joint is nearby the start on Friday night, and then stay someplace nice on Saturday night. ;)
I see there's a campground (El Chorro Regional Park) across the highway from Cuesta College.

Sounds cool but where will the bikes go?
In our tents?
Actually I'd have to convince the wife that camping with the kiddies
is something she'd want to do.

Travelodge ... the one that Herbm posted.

Looks like it is full already. What is so great about this ride?

Flat and fast. If you get to the turnaround early enough, light to no head winds going north, but a nice tailwind pushing you home. Oh, and nice scenery. Of course, I haven't actually done the ride yet....
A friend did a sub-5 hour century on the flat route a couple of years ago. I think he must have found a fast tandem to draft behind!

where are you staying?
For me, I booked a room for Friday Night only at Econo Lodge in Morro Bay. I hope this is not another Crack Motel like the one in Santa Rosa.:twitchy:

Combination of scenery, it is pretty flat, and the support is one of the best. It also attracts riders from both Northern and Southern California. It's also a really fun ride. SLOBC makes it easy for you to sell your spot, or buy a spot from someone who is trying to sell it. Every ride organization should look at SLOBC when organizing a ride, and model itself after them.
Here's a graph of registration activity when Lighthouse registration opened:
http://www.slobc.org/gif/Lh08Stats.jpg
500 spots sold out in the 1st hour alone!
For those that want to ride Lighthouse, but didn't register on time, you can periodically check http://www.slobc.org/LhRegistrationFull.html, and see if anyone on there is selling a spot.

If anyone wants to share this room with me, let me know as I got a room with 2 beds. My wife may not want to go so that's why I'm offering. I'll have an answer within a week.
