This is a video that BART (San Francisco subway/underground) did promoting the use of folding bikes on the trains. She is riding a new REI/Dahon folder.

Nice folder promotional video. Thanks for sharing.
I had no idea BART was so creative in their transit system. I wish more transit systems had this type of promotion.
OH... As for the bike, I'm surprised the girl was able to get one of those Dahons because they sold out so fast. If there's one weakness with the Dahon folder, it's that you have to carry the bike instead of rolling it after it's folded.
How nice of the camera crew to make her ride against traffic just so they could get a shot of her riding it (and she agreed to do it). Since it is a government sponsored film they should have at least had her going the right way down the street.
Yes, the REI Fly By did fly out the doors once the members-only 20%-off sale in March made them irresistible at $479 for an 8-speed hub Dahon folder. But Charlise Hyatt, come on! The bike does not "look goofy" nor should it make one "feel goofy"! It's cutting edge! It's hip! It's baaad! Make it feel the way you want it to, girl! You're already ahead of the curve - stay that way!

I roll all my dahons quite easily, it does take a little getting used to, but it would be WAY easier than the way she was doing it. Heck if you even know how to carry them properly, they aren't as cumbersome as she was making it look.
And I think full sized bike look goofy. :)
