swimmers with poor eyesight get corrective goggles... but what do triathletes do? do you wear your contacts underneath the goggles?

Yup. There's no way I'd be able to find the beach, much less my bike.

I wear soft disposables. They've gotten a little dry if I have an extremely long (45+ min for me) session in the pool. Otherwise, no problems at all.

I've worn my soft disposables to play water polo, swim with and without goggles, surfed, body surfed, scuba dived, etc etc. They're never ever come out, and I even open my eyes underwater. I wouldn't try it with hard contacts though, those fall out easy.

I don't have the best eyesite, but I don't go without. I dont find it absolutely critical or limiting in anyway. In the water, I just follow the herd anyway. They're usually thrashing all about so I can't miss them. I think it's just one less thing to go wrong and cost you time.

A cycling fanatic friend of mine had a welt on the bridge of his nose. I asked how he got it and he said "Glasses." I asked if he had tried contacts, and he said, "Sure, but they don't hold enough beer."
