Heh! How do you like that for a sensationalist title? So, I'm moving back to Lubbock, TX this summer to finish out school. I should be done by this December and will be back in Plano by then. I started to do research on Lubbock biking and routes and came across this interesting story.
Apparently there was a guy who set up traps (read: nails, rocks, wire strung at neck level, etc.) across bike trails in attempts to hurt people. He did this because he wanted to help save the environment.... apparently bikers are bad for wildlife? Anyways, he actually hurt a mountain biker pretty bad by cutting up his throat and was facing two felony charges. However, his actual sentencing let him off with a slap on the hand.

This all concluded about 6 months ago. I remember now why I don't like Lubbock. The government there is completely filled with corrupt good ole boys. I didn't think the judges were this bad though. I'm glad he isnt there anymore, but I'm kinda worried that he now lives in my hometown where my wife and I are avid car-lite cyclists.
