Hi all--I have a question I hope you can help me with. I'm building up a Salsa Casseroll, and a couple of days ago, when I was putting it in the repair stand, it slipped and fell to the floor. I looked it over and it seemed fine, so I didn't think any more about it.

Then yesterday, I tried putting in the rear wheel in the horizontal drop out for the first time, and noticed that the right drop out was bent slightly--about 1/8th of an inch. I gently pried it open with a screw driver, and it seems fine.

Is it OK? Should I be worried about failure in the drop out somewhere down the road?

Small amount of misalignment is no problem to cold-set (bend) back into place. You might want to have the rear dropouts properly aligned with an alignment tool - better bike shops should have this tool.

Good luck.

Thanks! I'll call around and see if any of the LBS's have an alignment tool.
