Any votes for a Brooks saddle forum? :) There seem to be enough duplicate new threads to make it worthwhile to gather them in one place? Perhaps a sub-forum under equipment?

With the search function working again, I'm thinking it's not truly necessary.

Exactly. Everything that could possibly be posted about Brooks saddles has already been diced and sliced a dozen times already. The only thing that could possibly be enlightening would be more pictures of naked babes in ads promoting Brooks. :)

I think a forum just for Brooks saddles would be a bit too much. But, I would like to see a forum for equipment. As it is now, I think trying to decide which forum to post a question can be difficult. For example, if I wanted information about bar tape, do I post in C&V, Touring, Commuting or Roadie forum? I just think that a lot of bicycle equipment isn't bicycling type specific.
Maybe even move Electronics as a subforum of the Equipment forum.

You have a good thought, but I can see that many disciple specific topics (ie: mtb only parts such as forks, suspension, etc) would get lost in there with other specific topics from other areas. Not sure if there is a way to break it out to where you can keep good information regarding equipment in one area without it becoming a mess or to the other extreme of being under-used.

I would guess under used would be the problem more than topics getting lost. But, I think if the General Equipment forum was broad enough, it would get used. Besides the electronic stuff, it could also include components, accessories (like pumps, bells, helmets, baskets and car racks) and clothing.
I still think people will ask about discipline specific items in their respected forums. But even if they don't, the thread will probably get answered or at least a "You might want to try the ... Forum". As it is now, a lot of mechanical questions get answered in the General Cycling forum.
