I was just curious if you can buy stock in any of the big names? If gas prices keep rising some of them may turn into a great investment.

Perhaps some of the tire manufacturers (Michelin, Maxxis, Continental), but they make more than just bicycle tires.

I think about the closest you could come would be Dorel. (cannondale, GT, Schwinn, Mongoose, Murray, etc)
Might be just as well off to invest directly in Chinese manufacturing.

Shimano (SHMDF), but they trade on the pink sheets. Too risky for my tastes.
