General Cycling Discussion - What are you asking Santa to bring?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
The reason I'm asking is I need some suggestions to give "Mrs. Santa".
She's looked through my cycling catalogs and asked questions and suggested things. My responses have been, "already have it", or "don't like it", or "don't need/want it", or "we can't afford it".
So - what are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree?

One of the new Lotus Elise sports cars ;) at 30-35K it is a bargain.
I installed part of my Chistmas this past weekend. A new cooktop for our kitchen, the old one was from the early 80's.
Other than that I did put a Mtn bike on layaway but I am selling old bikes and junk to pay for that myself, not really a santa thing. It is a new Specialized Epic.
I think yesterday was our oficial family chistmas for me and my wife. New computer, and a new Sony handyCam.
Our old camera eats the little tapes and we have not shot any video since about February. This new one is the model that writes straight onto the little DVD discs.
I cannot say what I want from my wifey for Christmas, Santa might think I am naughty and pass me by ;)
Give the wife a Spa Package at the Grove Park Inn Spa and resort in Asheville for a day so you can go bike on the blue ridge parkway.
Well, I know what I'm getting (part of it anyway) - a wheel building kit - truing stand, dishing tool etc.
I'm going to learn the black art!

I'm hoping for a a new pair of shoes... some Sidi Energy's in Steel/Silver... I wanted the super pimped out White Sidi's with the world champ rainbow.. but the wife talked me down from that...
Also hoping for some new Speedplay pedals, some bib shorts... and if anyone is looking what to get me.. a Merlin Cielo size 54 would fit me perfectly... come on... you can combine it with a birthday present, since my bday is 4 days after xmas ! :P

Nothing. We have an agreement I don't buy her clothes and she doesn't get me bike stuff. Both for the same reasons, it wouldn't be a hint telling her what I want it would be, get this, this or this as everything else sucks. Since I am a movie freak she does have a long list of mtb movies I want.

Santa is throwing in some additional-and much needed-scratch toward my Thorn eXp(and it was a Nomad but after talking to Robin Thorn we decided on the eXp frameset).

While it would certainly be awsome for Mr. Claus to bring me a nice shiny 5200, I'll hope for some cash to help me towards my goal of that 5200.

So - what are you hoping to find under the Christmas tree?
The only thing I really want money can't buy and Santa can't bring- TIME - time to ride, and time to build the two bikes in the garage that I've had for weeks/months and still haven't built up.
Happy Holidays.

Look forward to my new Time Road shoes and a yellow polo shirt with bicycles on it..Will wear it Christmas day... Those wearing Time shoes report them to be really comfortable.. Look really cool. I do like yellow and red. Have a yellow and red jersey.
I really should have gotten a new strobe for my underwater camera..Cycling won out..Oh well, a birthday is three months away...
I reported under another thread. 'Velo Gear' is selling a cyclists 'bobble head.' anyone want one?

A gift certificate from the ole LBS?
Santa already brought me 3 new pair of riding shorts and 4 new jerseys. (2 that fit, 1 that will 20lbs from now, and one that will fit my 16 year old daughter. :D )
Also a new set of panniers, safety vest, and the 3 Doors Down Live CD "Another 700 miles". Still hoping for aero bars for my roadie! ;)
I need a new camelbak w/ at least 2-Li capacity. I hope santa is reading this right now. :)
Reason:
The small camelbak's fit my everyday rides w/c are less than 2 hours, each ride.
But my week-end rides go more than 5hrs. My current hydrapack won't just do the job.
I figure a 2liter pack + 2 water bottles, will be enough for a 5hr ride.. right?
dear santa,
To add, the mrs. already gave me a new set of hubs + (cool skewers) as an early christmas gift. Not to mention a new bottle cage, bottle, and seatpost clamp.
A clear 65 degree weekend on 12/27 & 12/28.
Amen!

Good Health is everything, the ultimate gift. Good luck to you and take care of yourself.
For me, cash will do... a $2,800.00 custom made bike with a tiny $650.00 deposit down on it leaves me with a fairly large financial hill to climb... especially when the bikes maker says she should be done around the 25th!!

One word - Ultegra
1up trainer, some bib shorts. Those are the things I need. Wouldn't mind a DVD recorder as well, but I think I'll wait until the prices are about half next year and just buy one myself.

I'm with the IowaParamedic on this one, Ultegra. I need the shifters to complete the set and the triple Sora becomes a double Ultegra.
then for the carbon fork, selle italia saddle, Ksyrium wheels...... ohhhh, so much stuff, so little cash.
Since I just got a new road bike so I can't ask for anything too expensive. Maybe some MTB shoes or a cool jersey.

A shorter stem for my approximate 1996? Specialized Hardrock fs. Hard to find too because most of the ones I see are the wrong style or too small for the head.
