Hey everyone, I hope this isn't a topic that's been discussed. If so, please forgive the redundancy.

I have just started biking - and I'm doing about ten miles a day (I know, a whimp -but I'm overweight, so back off!).

About a week after I did this, I noticed that the (brace yourself guys) skin on the tip of the head of my who's-your-daddy started peeling off. Not chaffing, but pealing.

Has anyone else ever dealt with this? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Sincerely,
Unable to cross my legs in Texas.

I don't have that problem but this thread definitely wins over the one about butt cream...wins hands down.

I think I would see my Dr about my who's-your-daddy!

Not to be controversial, but are you keeping yourself hygienically clean and not allowing who's-your-daddy to marinate in urine? I had to run sick call in the Army and saw way to many feet and private part problems due to poor hygiene!

Don't linger around in warm, moist shorts after a ride. Shower and dry well. Apply powder liberally! Put on clean fresh clothing

Good luck!

Vitamin D&E ointment, or diaper rash stuff. Watch positioning to avoid abrasion.

I just wanted to say 10 miles when you first start is awesome. We have several intro rides going on and 2-6 miles is generally the most they cover.

Are you sure that a bike is all you've been riding?:)

Maybe it's moulting

That's what other snakes do when they grow, right? Why should the trouser variety be any different? Maybe the OP should measure.

Perhaps soaking it in something warm and wet would help?

Get some cycling shorts and wear them without underwear. Most cyclists wear cycling shorts for a reason.

Technically... there's no skin there... so I would definitely get it checked out.

I'm gonna say positioning yourself will help. I'm sort of large down there, and find that comfort is much improved by wearing underwear or a jock strap that's tight enough to hold my stuff up against my belly.
Letting it flop around with loose or no underwear is asking for trouble, either from chafing or thumping things against the seat.

See a doctor. I've never had this problem in all my years of riding a bike.
