The bike is almost done, it's coming along great thanks to all your guys help and it should be done by Tuesday. Anyhow, I have come across another problem. The silver allen head crank bolt you see in the picture below is destroyed. Since it's a reverse thread bolt, I have no idea (not even online) where I can get a reverse thread bolt just like the one in the picture. I live by Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, and there's even a Granger not to far from here. I HIGHLY doubt they sell a reverse thread any bolt.

thanks for reading guys
Update: Also, does anyone know how to align the fork and frame?
And would this brake set: http://www.danscomp.com/484009.php?cat=PARTS
work for my bike?

If you're reffering to the compression bolt on the outside of the crank it's not reverse thread. I was missing mine for a long time and all I ever did was take the bolt off of the other side, put it on the side that was missing, tighten it down and then crank the pinch bolt super tight, remove the compression bolt and put back on the proper side.
I eventually got a new one at a local shop though. You might be able to find something with the same diameter/TPI at a local hardware store though.
Or do you mean the pinch bolt?
If it's destroyed you might have to drill it out.
If it's the side bolt, take a dremel and cut a notch in it for a flat head screwdriver.
Before you dremel anything use a Torx bit pushed into the allen key slot, works very well to remove stripped allen heads.
and then just go buy a new bolt. my friend had the same thing... we finally got it out, went to our local Ace Hardware, and bought a bolt that was almost identical. it worked fine.

I forgot all 'bout those! Good idea.
Nothing is stripped, only missing. The "pinch bolt" you guys are talking about is the smaller of the 2 you see below right? I am talking about that fat bolt where you can see the entire round top and allen slot in it. Right next to the R in Redline, left side.
I'm going to check out ace hardware. I could have sworn it was reverse thread though.

No, that brake set won't work on your bike.
They won't "work" on any bike. By that I mean they will function, but they won't actually stop you.
The Ody 1999 brake is almost the worst caliper brake you can get. They sucked when they came out in the 80's & they still suck.
On the other hand the Odyssey Evolver (or EVO 2) brake is an awesome brake AND will work on your frame. You need a 990/"U" style brake
And as far as the bolt you need, have you tried a local bike shop, or dropping Redline an e-mail?

Whats a good cheap brake set for a bike that used a u-brake set as in the pictures? I have not searched for the bolt yet, that's tomorrow.
And Redline doesn't make these anymore i think, there really old. Also i wil try to email them ayhow and see whats up. I didn't think of that. If worse comes to worse I'll get a different bolt for it.

Haha,i got one of these for my Torker2 yesterday at my LBS and it slows you down and retracts,so im happy. Its all about the bulldogs tho.
Ok, I got it. The bolt was not reverse thread after all. Sorry for the confusion. Anyhow, that problem is done. And a new one comes. The fork/handle bars are wobbly in the cups. Any ideas?
loosen the side stem bolts, and tighten the one on top, then re tighten the sides.
Is it safe and ok to use with this little play? I did what you said and it's still a little loose. It's a threadless headset.
Top bolt?

I wouldn't suggest riding with it loose. It will ruin the cups because of the bearing riding loosely in them. You may have to get some spacers or something.
