I recieved my silver Xootr Swift on Friday and did the normal unpack job. I took it for a test commute on Saturday (Lakeview to downtown Chicago then back up Lake Shore Drive) and I think it's lovely. Definitely a step up in handling from the other folders I have tried. My one issue is that the chain in 8th gear snags the frame. I'll see about correcting this, but meanwhile I make decent progress in 7th.

Obligatory unpack photos are attached along with a couple of pics showing the chain snag on 8th. Next step: change the bars to something a little more flexible. I think some kind of butterfly bar is in order.

My bike commute starts in real anger today so I'll post up further ride comments later.

The chain also snagged something on my Swift, however, it was that the top of the derailleur cage hit against the dropout, thus the chain was forced to run a ragged path through the RD.
In my case the only cure was to put the RD into 7th position, scribe a line along the bottom of the dropout onto the RD cage, then dremel away the excess metal.
Chain runs cleanly now.

Any chance that due to misplacement of washers/spacers your wheel is offset to the freehub side?

Apparently the chain snag issue is known. A small number evidently have misplaced drop outs. Xootr have been brilliant so far and we are arranging a swap-out.

Meanwhile, I am enjoying the bike hugely - and resisting the temptation to use 8th.
