So i'm looking to upgrade wheels in my '05 Trek Madone. I'm currently running Ultegra 9spd and bontrager race lites. I've had this bike a few months and have raced several times on it. The bike is pretty stiff and loves to climb. After talking with some 35+ guys from my club team, they recommended that i get better race wheels. I've been looking at the Spinergy aero lite whels, from all these reviews(some negative, mostly good) it seems these wheels are suited more for road races instead of crits. Unfortunately, I race in NJ where its mainly crits all season long. I do road races as much as possible as I'm more of a climber.
So my question is, is it worth it to get these wheels or should i look for wheels that are more suited for crits?

what do the guys recommending that you get better wheels recommend?
far be it from me to discourage getting some new shwag, but if you're current wheels are true and in good repair, just race what you've got. if you're already decided that you're getting some new hoops, get something that makes your current wheels a good backup racing/everyday set, then you've got a race wheelset and an everyday (training) wheelset.
They recommended Fulcrum or Zipp 404's. I like my wheels, but they think i could be better with faster wheels.
