I am not a builder, but am involved in a new frame building project in Osaka Japan.
Everything is in order apart from 2 things....
1. We do not know who can make head badges for us. Only Kalavinka still uses them in Japan, and
we would love to have head badges too, rather than simple decals as most builders use.
2. Our decals are a bit thicker than we would prefer....can anyone refer me to a good small-medium batch sticker company who can do nice thin decals? This is another feature that is being fazed out of Keirin frames in Japan. Peloton, Vivalo, Giro and a few others have all changed to the thicker stickers, which I do
not really like. Apparently the only companies doing super thin decals in Japan now are doing only very large batches which we are not yet in a position to invest in.
Thanks guys!:)

Is Vivalo back in business now? Where is Ocean making now? Are you guys planning to apply for NJS approval in 3 years?

the Riv Reader had a piece a while back, they use a US, old-school company that makes... badges. Firemen, police, clubs, etc, they make the badges. The only difference for a bike is 2 holes and a different shape.

I had one for my new Eriksen hardtail made at headbadges.com (http://www.headbadges.com):

Also, Kent Eriksen has some nice stamped metal badges that come on his frames. I'm not sure where he had them made, but you could ask him: http://www.kenteriksen.com/

Thanks guys! headbadges.com is $100 per badge which is far too expensive for our frames. Thanks for the link, and help though.
bmxguy - Kusaka San retired, and Hashiguchi San of Ganwell Pro is now building the OCEAN frames, and paint has moved to Uemura Paint. At Vivalo the paint was in-house, which was great for fast turnaround times....
