Winter Cycling - Here comes the Snow!

They say we will get our 1st snow storm this weekend (6 inches). I'm kind of dreading it but also - If its bad out Saturday, I won't have to take the family shopping, and I have those studed tires on my beater bike. . . Better get it out tonight and tune it up.

Good luck, we are suppose to be getting snow tonight as well. Should make for an interesting night's ride home. Not sure if we are getting a lot of snow or not, all I've seen is "snow showers." At the moment there is about 1/2 inch since 4pm, so I don't expect much more tonight.
Yeah, we're supposed to get snow too. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but I feel a bit skittish about dealing with bad drivers who aren't quite used to it yet. I may stick to side streets for a week or so until people get used to the idea of riding on ice and snow.

As much as I like it, the idea that i'm going to be covered in brown salty new york city snow that'll probably eat through my bike faster than acid kind of worries me...
