Does anyone happen to know the timeframe from requesting a category upgrade and the USAC granting it. My plan is to finish my last Cat V race on Memorial day and upgrade to Cat IV to race the following Sunday. Wondering if my upgrade request will be granted within a weeks time.

My teammate got his upgrade from 4 to 3 in less than a week.

Mine took a few weeks but I did it in the off-season. I suspect during race season it will be faster. I actually had a teammate upgrade between races. He raced the 5s race, got the official to sign off on his upgrade, then raced the 4s (Mothballs).
