Is it just me or are there a lot of Marines frequenting this board? If so, I wonder why. Is it the ability to adapt and overcome? To think outside of the box? The physical fitness and PT aspect of it? In any case, good to see you all :)

Surprises me to some extent, too. Just like when I retired a couple years ago and came back here to find this place crawling with prior military. It was like, "Where did all these folks come from? They weren't here when I left, and there's no bases within about a 2 hour drive."

Let's just say that the "prior military" understand the advantages of keeping in good physical shape.

And there are those of us employed in para military organizations.
Keeping fit is part of the job.

It is ALWAYS stormin' the beach when you're a Marine. Regardless of what you're doin'. :D

Let's just say that the "prior military" understand the advantages of keeping in good physical shape.

That probably explains the rather large percentage on here. There are people everywhere with prior service (it must be my weekly self-haircut that prompts conversations), but it seems like there's quite a bunch here.
