The new smilies have taken the right edge of the screen so far over that when starting a new thread or replying with a quote, I cannot see the smilies or buttons on the far right. I have lost access to my spell checke and some smilies due to this.

can you screen shot it for me...?
and what resolution do you run?
Just set up a second monitor to the right of your first monitor.

oh you gotta work in tech support hahaha...
my monitor is at 1280x 1024...I have no problems with placement, we did when I had a couple of big smilies in there but that has been fixed. Now the column and smilies on the preview are all the same width so you shouldn't be having a problem.

1024 x 768 on a 19" ish crt
I will see what I can do...
why such a low res, just curious :D...
Bad eyes and lots of small print on some EDI sights that I frequent on that machine. BTW, it works fine on my home LCD widescreen. Has to be the res. setting on my work machine.

The site is more or less formatted for 1280 x 1024 but most things do work in 1024 x 768.
It is easy enough to fix, to reduce it to 2 columns, but I think we loose having the smilies on the front.
It is not a problem that needs fixing, as it is caused by me. Maybe a mod should move this thread to the trash.

I see! Maybe I don't (fully)...I did see I could get the lowest rates on lodging? ;)

1280 x 1024 is too small for my vision and I had a time adjusting font size and such so I stick with 1024 x 768. 800 x 600 is silly but it was primo at 13-14"...
Problem with the new smilies
yep, and here they are:
:wtf: the "wtf" is unnecessary.
:twitchy: what is the purpose of the twitchy?
:troll: gives too much credit to trolls.
:fred: too well dressed to be a fred.
:injured: injuries should not be anticipated.
the bike smilies will get old very soon.
:banned: is potential gasoline for future fires.
:welcome:geek::cheers: ugly as sin, and aesthetically awful.
:deadhorse2: redundant (and aesthetically awful).

Not that I know of, heck I hate lcd's for the fact I can't make them 1600x1400 anymore.

I was running an MSI K7Pro with a 700 MHz AMD Slot A or mostly sub 900 MHz CPUs before I got this one and I'm trying to get a TYAN S2460 running on one processor with an AMD 1600...when I'm not even sure it was flashed to use it. MAYBE the 1000 works if it was only the BIOS that bit it on my ASUS CUBX.
LCDs are found in my calculators, I live on 650/mo and fix everything. The last new bike I bought was a 1995 Schwinn Classic Cruiser and a Heavy Duti just prior that was stolen. I've used computers of several types from 1979 on.
I now posess all I need to upload video to YouTube however...
PS I've used about the same group of emoticons (smileys) for about 10 years maybe. I use them sparingly now. Many boards I've used limit them or consider them a poor substitute for real conversation, such as l33t.
I'm using a 17" eMachines monitor and maybe when I get the Sony projector I got for 50 bucks working it will be better, but I simply can't put another 50 buck Zenith Pro 880 (same guy selling) in the bedroom because it's the size of a baby manta ray! I haven't tried using the 19" Trinitron yet though it's slightly overloaded if I use a VCR with the 22dB gain from my amp (antenna only). I am waiting to finish a cabinet made from a $3 dresser at the local auction to house the computer and some other stuff and put the projector on top later. Then I can sit in the theater chair I bought for $25 and be comfortable.
I don't see as well as I'd like to either.
If I could see all the mistakes I make the first time I'd be on that 1280 like a mosquito at a softball game!

Do I need Miley Cyrus any bigger :)
yep, and here they are:
As long as you don't say that my favourite should be booted:
I really, really need this one.
