I hav'nt ride for about 10 years and just decided to get myself a bike for Christmas :D and get back into riding again to get in shape.
So far, I know I still want a Bianchi ( what I had 10 years ago. ) and I know I want a carbon frame as I've heard carbon frames absorbs more road shock.
However, I can't seem to find a Bianchi dealer in LA area that stocks 2004 Bianchi models.
Any recommandations from you guys as far as what model is good, what dealer in the area is good, and if there is any online dealers that sells Bianchi?
Thanks for any input.
Oh by the way, what happend to the times when you can pick up a decent midrange model Bianchi for 700 bucks!!!! :( Now all the better models ( damn that Luna sure looks nice.) are 3-5g.

Go to EBay: type Bianchi Giro
There's one going for $ 700.00 right now.
It's a 2003 model, brilliant blue but it's size 57cm
It has carbon seat stay and fork.
I just got the 55 cm size from them by $ 870.00
IF that size fits you you might get it for less than I got mine.
Mine is being delivered tomorrow, they shipped right away.

But I'll pass. I happend to LOVE the celeste color.
A Bianchi is just not the same in any other color.(personal preference)

Me too, believe me. I had my eyes drooling on the EROS 2004, celeste color, but at the price I got the Giro for - the color was easy to overlook, Giro retails for 1,500.
The one I got on ebay is from a dealer in IL who's cleaning up floor inventory.
Suit yourself...I love Bianchis too

Have you tried Supergo? I know they had Bianchi's earlier this year but I don't know if they have the 2004 models. There is a store in Santa Monica. I might be going to the Fountain Valley store later, I'll have a look. They don't always have all their inventory on their website so even if you don't see Bianchi's there they may still have some in store.
My LBS used to carry Bianchi's but not anymore.

I was thinking about going to their fountain valley store this weekend ( if I can find time. )
If I see one that I like. Maybe I'll start riding next week.

It's actually Laguna Hills, exit the 5 at Alicia Parkway, turn right at the end of the ramp and then take the first right. It is at the far end of the parking lot to your right.

I just got back from Performance bike in Fountain Valley, right next to Supergo. Had to get some Accelerade! So I went into Supergo and that store didn't have any Bianchi's. You may want to call their Laguna Hills store to ask if they have any.
And Peter, if you need any aftermarket performance modifications for your Carrera you can try Andial Road and Racing! They specialize in Porsches and they are also a sponsor of my bike club! Just thought I'd give them some promotion for supporting cycling. Ask for Dieter.
