My wife actually asked me if I would ride on Thursday instead of Tuesday night this week :D
Who's gonna be there?
I'm going to skip the Open race this week because I'm doing both of the Houston crits (Bear Creek and Houston Grand) this weekend.

I'm in. I'll be sure and say hi. I'm in one'a those transparent white Austinbikes kits.
Cool! We're on the same team  (for anyone else watching, this is a really loose-knit team -- until the starting gun)
I'm hoping Evan and Mark will be there too -- and another Cat 3 I met last week at the 'nighter, Bob, I think?
Don't know Bob. All of a sudden there are tons of guys in Austinbikes kit. Last week there were about 6-8 of us in the race. Maybe this week we could come up with a plan or something.
That would be nice :) I'll start by offering to tear the sh*t out of everything in the first minute.

did you get a frame out of the parking lot issue?
Didn't know Evan upgraded! He's been racing Cat 3 this season. Cool. Now I just need him to turn 35 :)
Nope, same frame. It's crit worthy (I got 2nd in this crit one time last year on the same bike)

I don't think he was questioning the bike's worthiness, just whether or not it is still deemed as straight and raceable!
How are things looking? Will you be reimbursed for damage? Or, have they deemed steel bikes so damned strong and resilient that they're charging you for ripping out the wiring? (all too likely, by the way!)
I still haven't talked to the insurance company, but the security system installation company (at fault) said that since it's not an auto ins company we're working with, it will take a couple extra days to process. They assured me I'd hear from an adjuster tomorrow.
I got an estimate on the TSX today: $6100 plus $1100 for the roof rack (Yakima says the whole rack needs to be replaced, and I had five Steelheads on it...).
