Has anyone tried to mount a Niterider Digital Evolution on an '07 Specialized Sirrus? I was considering Switching my light set to my Sirrus from off of my Mountain bike, but I came across a problem. The mount for the lighthead is too small to clamp around the bars! Not only that but the cables for the rear dérailleur and brake extend right in front of the light. I'm beginning to think I need to get one of those mini front racks and go Dynohub with it..
Hello,
I have the same light and when I started commuting on my Langster, with oversize bars, I had the same issue. There are a couple of thick rubber pieces on the inside of the clamp that can easily be removed. I then used a thin piece that came with the light, specifically for oversize bars. As far as the cables, I was able to mount mine in such a way that the cables were not an issue, but then again I only have the brake cables with my single speed.

Well that IS the funny part.. I DID swap out to the thin shims but the bar is about twice the diameter to a "normal" bar at the point it clamps.
