I have been designing and building recumbent tricycles for the past 7 years . My work has evolved into what I call the ZING. It is a front wheel drive ,articulated steering( has a hinge point no fork)DELTA trike.
You do most of the steering with your legs and hips.The trike has a very small turning circle (4FT.) and great ride and handling.I have ridden over 7000 miles on my trikes.I have 4000 miles on the current evolution of theZING.It is 1of4,#2 is my girl friends,#3and4 are in the final assembly
stage.
The frame is TIG welded aluminum with apowder coat finish.The seat and crank are adjustable,to acomadate riders from 5FT. to 6FT+,with a
suggested rider weight 225 max.Other specs.
OVER LENGTH-64 in. WHEEL BASE-41 in.
TRACK-32 in. WEIGHT-45lbs.
SEAT HEIGTH-24 in.
The hinge point has a pin that is removeable so the trike is trunkable
I have ridden my ZING on many tours and love the way it handles and the unique ride.It climbs the hills quite well ,the stability of trike at slow speed and high speed is great.I would appeciate any questions or comments e-mail
