Mountain Biking - Duct/Electrical tape does indeed fix all.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I made up for it the other day by removing the headtube badge.

It was coming loose anyways. Truth be told, bike weight doesn't really bother me.

why did you switch from the XT crank
The tires on the Fisher and the Ford could probably use some air IMO
Hah, i knew it was a ford. You should have known it was a '37. Very nice rod , Smashy. Now I have to know: coupe or sedan?
coupe or sedan?
Looks like a pick-up.. isn't the rear window visible inside the cab?
Looks like a pick-up.. isn't the rear window visible inside the cab? That's a quarter-window (five-window coupe or 2-door sedan). '37 pickup did not have passenger car sheet metal - - nose was entirely different (more like a cross between the 37 pass. and the '36 PU). Pickups '33 - 38 had different noses from the passenger cars. Model As and Bs (32) shared, as did 39s and 40s.
Good call on seeing the window though. Now, if it's a 2-door sedan, is it a Vicky or humpback?

Doug's first car was an 1862 Prairie schooner, he traded it for the longer wheelbase Saratoga wagon in 1874.
The 1930's Fords are late models for him.:roflmao2:

^omg I wish we had a rep button.
^^ :roflmao:
I was a street rod nut from the time I was 4 or 5 years old (although that term had not been invented yet - - they were all just 'hot rods.'). I knew my early Fords almost before I could ride a bike.
And Smashy: tell me that's a SBF in that. Please.

It looks like the distributor is in the back. What does that tell you?
I think it's 'glass, too. Probably a nice cruiser.
Distributor wouldn't sit that high in relation to the air cleaner top - - I believe that's the coil mounted on the firewall - - looks like an MSD. Though judging by the distance from the center of the manifold to the radiator core you're probably right anyway that it's a SBC - - unless it has one of the real stubby water pumps.

Think that's a 350 Chev in it, too.
I cheated. It's a coupe and it appears to be steel.

It's a 1937 ford super deluxe coupe original body, and has a 350 chevy in it, not as high maintenance wise as a small block ford. I wanted to put a big block ford in it, but the compartment was just too small and I didn't want to modify the hood any.(Know how hard it is to locate original steel hoods for a 37 ford if I was to screw up modifying the hood?) So I just used an engine that I had on hand, which was a 350 chevy.
The car probably needs air, but the bikes tires don't I keep them on the low side of the spectrum pressure wise. 30 psi in the front, 35 psi in the back.
I would be reluctant to hack up firewall, aprons, etc. on a nice, original body too. Beautiful car, Smashy. I like the flame job; is it just the light or is the whole thing overshot with pearlescent?

Flames an pinstripe was hand painted. It's the lighting.
