Having had both knees 'scoped before and having more and more discomfort I am starting to look at the options for future work.

Has anyone ever heard of 'Regenexx' in Colorado? Their website says they remove stem cells and somehow increase the volume and then re-inject the stem cells to treat various problems.

One thing that pops out is the doctor doesn't seem to have any hospital privileges........and the fact that I have never heard of this procedure before.

They take a different approach but try to do more than just remove cartilage, which is often the norm.

My left knee is starting go but am steering clear of the medical profession. Friend of mine had over half a dozen surgeries and all they did was muck it up. I hit fifty some time ago but just got around to here.

Have had two scopes and one real slice and dice. Have a nephew who had microfracture. Am hesitant to experiment so I just deal with occasional discomfort. Found if I alternate riding with some serious walking it helps. Can't run but the impact from the walking seems to reduce the discomfort for quite a while. Found that when I did no intense walking, my riding suffered.
Doubt that helps..hope you get some response that does.:)

Thanks, but these procedures are apparently relatively new so there may not be much experience with them.....even in this crowd.

Also, they may not be covered by insurance, which winnows out the field even more.

Sorry I don't have any information on this procedure. However, I don't think it would be unusual for a doctor doing research to not have hospital privileges.

Is this procedure still in the research stage?
