Who's riding the Udder Century this year? Details (http://www.mchenrybicycleclub.info/mcbc_Udder/UDDER-Main/mcbc-udder.htm).
This is a well attended, well supported ride along a pretty decent route in western McHenry and Boone Counties.
Chime in with the distance you're planning and start sandbaggin'!
I'm riding the 100 as recovery from the previous day's BFNIC Double or Nothing Metric. I plan to draft and draft and draft with some well timed 10 second token pulls.

If my legs are still working ... I hope to be there for 100.
If not, I'll just be drafting beer at home.

I had been thinking of taking the day off and riding it twice but I cant get the day off. Just another example of the man trying to keep me down:lol:

I think I might make this one. I can't think of anything I'll have that day.
I would likely be in for 100, unless the KR Bike Club Annual @ Waterford on 5/17 teaches me that a century will cause my back to seize up.
$27. Did it cost that last year? I don't recall.

Wow. No it didn't. $20-$25 maybe IIRC.

In for 50.
I checked my bank register and I paid $20 for early registration in 2007.

I might have to gamble on the early registration this year, as I'm pretty sure I'm in.

1 week bump. Let's hear some chatter.
What time are we congregating and rolling out? My preference would be for a 6:45 meet, 7 am rollout from the registration area like the last few years. I'm open to other times.

How about we make a plan to meet at a restaurant/bar afterwards?

I think I'm in for the 100, even though I'll have spent the five days prior running while on vacation in NY.
Oh, look for my Half Acre Cycling team kit – I'll have our team brew on hand for 'sampling' afterward.

I'm in, especially when someone mentions sampling some brew. I'm thinking 100, but is this thing hilly or flat? A man's got to know his limitations.

SmokinMiles, you want to try the carpool thing again? I'm just off Rte. 25 a few blocks, near Rte. 64/Main Street in St. Charles. Or if you'd be going up Randall, we could meet up over there, too. Whatever works for you.

Everyone can carpool with Psimet....I have the van with a 4 bike swing out rack action going now....
:D
BTW - Volde...didn't you ride this with us last year??!
I will not be ready. The pain on Saturday will only make me meaner. Nutrition and training are for wussy.

Yep, the first annual "I Forgot My Helmet" ride. So, if SmokinMiles and I meet up in St. Charles, we could shoot straight up Randall and do the van thing from your place. What do you think, Smokin?
P.S. Don't ever try to dig fence post holes with bruised ribs...not too smart.:o

You will be fine on the 100. It's not "Swedish Days flat" and I remember thinking last year, "oh, yeah, this is a bit hillier than I recalled" but nothing major at all especially if you pace yourself....like, by staying with me, as I agonize on my tired legs from the previous day :giver: :D
Yes, I will carpool with you. Let me know where to meet you. I'll come on 25 so we can meet anywhere on 25 and 64.

For sure start out with the group.
We usually meet outside the registration. Maybe Psimet can whip up one of his famous BFNIC meet up signs.

great thanks!! Looking forward to it! :)
Psimet just needs to sport the famous BFNIC jersey.
i am in for 7am rollout as long as i make it back from the Double or Nothing sufferfest.
later.
I've missed a lot of BF news and ride updates the last couple of months due to work and vacations...ahhh I miss Punta Cana. I'll be there for the 7am rollout, so far I'm undecided on the distance. I'll decide at the turnaround point whether I feel up to the 100 or not. See you all there!
I'm out of this one too.

I believe I will be attending this event, CyLowe97, though I will not participate in the sandbagging. Sandbagging is not part of being Awesome.
I will be riding the 100 mile route and will gladly offer to pull for added amounts of time to keep the legs of the group fresh.
As I stated in the previous thread for the 'Double or Nothing' Metric ride, I am hoping to make it to both events, but much depends on Lufthansa and O'Hare International Airport to follow my lead in keeping it awesome.

Meet-up right outside of registration. I am not making up a sign, but you all know what I look like (pssst - I look just like the handsome guy in the picture to the left under my name).
